CEREMONIES
• The Resident’s Lounge – situated at the topmost viewing point of the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, overlooking the estate’s onsite waterhole and Zambezi National Park. At sunset, this venue offers a beautiful setting for a memorable experience and will accommodate a maximum of 15 people for a wedding ceremony
• The Amphitheatre – About 100 metres from the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge entrance, is an open-air auditorium with a levelled stage area and surrounding terraced grass banks. This is the largest venue on the property and will comfortably accommodate 200 people
• The Indaba Conference Room – Situated adjacent to the amphitheatre is a thatched A-frame building with French doors that open up onto a small balcony overlooking the African bushveld with a view of the spray of the mighty Victoria Falls. The Indaba Conference Room has its own bar and cloakroom facilities. This room may be prepared for a maximum of 100 guests i.e.. cinema style seating
• Queen Nandi Place – with a view to the spray of the Victoria Falls, Queen Nandi Place is an exceptional new venue designed to host upmarket events in one of Africa’s most iconic destinations

 

WEDDING RECEPTION
• Queen Nandi Place – With breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness, this state-of-the-art venue ensure a premium experience
• The Indaba Conference Room and the Boardroom – Both lend themselves to a reception never to be forgotten. The Indaba Conference Room seats 70 guests for dinner (without a dance floor) or 40 guests with a dance floor. The Boardroom can accommodate 30 guests for a Gala Dinner
• The Boma Restaurant – This 320-seater restaurant famous for superb game dishes and African traditions can be booked for exclusive use for very large groups (minimum 250 PAX). Alternatively, we could book one of the Boma “Villages” for your private party or reception
• Off the Property – Wedding ceremonies and receptions may be arranged off the property. The following are the options available:
o Inside the Victoria Falls rainforest
o Santonga bush dinner site – located less than a kilometre from the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, this private venue lends itself well to gala events under the stars

 

DÉCOR AND FLOWERS
Our in-house florist is available for hire for all floral requirements. Advise us of your colour scheme and we will work around this to create a perfect setting for your wedding. It is our preference to use indigenous flowers, but we aim to please!

 

ACCOMMODATION
• Victoria Falls Safari Club (16 spacious Club Rooms and 4 Club Suites)
• Victoria Falls Safari Suites (2 x 3 bedroom units each accommodating up to 7 guests and 4 x 2 bedroom units each accommodating up to 5 guests)
• Victoria Falls Safari Lodge (72 rooms including 24 Lodge Standard Rooms, 42 Lodge Waterhole Facing Rooms and 6 Lodge Waterhole Facing Suites)
• Lokuthula Lodges (9 x 3 bedroom units and 22 x 2 bedroom units). The lodges may be booked on a self-catering or bed and breakfast basis.

 

VICTORIA FALLS SAFARI SPA
Nestled in peaceful indigenous woodland on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, rich in birdlife and with the occasional warthog or bushbuck passing by, the Victoria Falls Safari Spa features manicure and pedicure stations, three stand-alone treatment rooms, a hair and make-up studio, a splash pool with relaxation decks and a café offering healthy food and beverage options.

 

Using natural plant-based ingredients with no animal products, the Safari Spa is ideal for bridal parties getting ready for the big day, and offers the following treatments:

- Facials
- Body treatments
- Massages
- Waxing
- Tinting
- Hairdressing
- Bridal party makeup

 

DOCUMENTATION FOR RESIDENTS OF ZIMBABWE
• Birth certificate
• National identification card
• Marriage license, which is obtained from the Magistrates Court
• If the bride and groom have been married before the divorce certificates from previous marriages or death certificates of previous spouses
• Certificate of no impediment
• Police clearance
• Immigration clearance

 

DOCUMENTATION FOR NON-RESIDENTS OF ZIMBABWE
• Passport and birth certificate for both parties as well as 2 revenue stamps, which may be purchased locally
• A certified letter from the relevant authorities in the country of permanent residence stating that both parties are free to marry in Zimbabwe
• Marriage license, which is obtainable from the Magistrates Court
• If the bride and groom have been married before, the divorce certificates from previous marriages or death certificates of previous spouses

 

Please note that if any of the above documentation is not in English, it must be accompanied by a certified translation. The magistrate or priest will need to meet with both parties concerned the day before the actual marriage, during normal office hours, to go through all the paper work and discuss what type of ceremony will be required. The Catholic priest will only marry Catholics if they have a Baptism Certificate and a letter from their parish priest stating that both
parties are free to marry. The Catholic Priest will marry non-Catholics provided that neither has been divorced before.

 

OUR STANDARD WEDDING PACKAGE CONSISTS OF:
• 3 nights’ accommodation in a luxury suite at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge or in a Club room or Club suite at Victoria Falls Safari Club.
• 3 dinners (2 dinners at our award-winning restaurants and 1 private dinner)
• 3 breakfasts (Full English breakfast on 2 days in the MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant or Safari Club restaurant and a champagne brunch served in the comfort of your suite or Club room)
• A couple’s treatment at the Victoria Falls Safari Spa including a 60-mnute Stress Release Massage, pedicure, Indian Head Massage and a glass of bubbly
• Wedding day makeup and hairdo for the bride
• Return airport transfers from Victoria Falls Airport
